The following step by step guide on how to own $MOCA was put together by a member of our community.

The goal of the process is to begin showing more artists the powers of DeFi and ways to build passive streams of income independent of sales. It is technically challenging but is designed this way to allow for unprecedented social engagement around our Permanent Collection.

Please note: Matic rebranded to Polygon three months ago and the terms are used interchangeably throughout this guide.

1. Get MetaMask ready for Polygon

Switch the connected blockchain by clicking on the tab saying Main Ethereum Network, we need to add the Matic network.

Scroll down until you find Custom RPC.

Enter in the Matic Mainnet settings as follows:

Network Name: Matic Mainnet
New RPC URL https://rpc-mainnet.maticvigil.com/

ChainID 137
Symbol: MATIC
Block Explorer URL https://explorer.matic.network/

Click Save.

You have now connected to the Matic mainnet with your Metamask Wallet.

You’re now able to operate on the Polygon Network, but that’s not going to do you any good without some $MATIC in your wallet. If you don’t have any $MATIC in your wallet, you can visit the faucet at https://matic.supply/ for enough to conduct one or two transactions. You should use one of those transactions to purchase some more $MATIC on QuickSwap, so you won’t get stuck again.

For reference, 1 $MATIC is good for hundreds of transactions on Polygon.

2. Transferring your assets from the Ethereum Mainchain to the Polygon Mainnet

You can access the Polygon Bridge here.

This warning will come up. Check out what’s supported, then click “Continue”.

Then, click “Continue” again to confirm your transfer.

Click “Continue” again, and your MetaMask wallet will open. Click “Confirm”. You will see the following screen:

Wait for the transaction to process. Depending on network demand, this can take several minutes. You can track its progress on Etherscan.

Once your transaction has completed, you will see this screen:

Next, open MetaMask, select “Matic Mainnet” from the drop down menu, and you’re ready to interact with layer 2!

3. Find $MOCA on Quickswap

Go to https://quickswap.exchange/#/swap

You will then need to swap the asset you bridged over for $MOCA.

$MOCA can be found by inputting the contract address to the token field

4. Stake your $MOCA tokens in our dapp!

You will first need to sign the staking contract on Polygon and then switch back to Ethereum main net and sign again. This was done to cover gas fees for users.

5. How to get into the ADVANCED $MOCA Staking Farms

On DEXes like Quickswap you have the option to provide liquidity. This means that you get a share of the fees when someone swaps the corresponding tokens.

So jump into the $MOCA LP Pools and get your LP tokens! But be aware of the risk of impermanent loss!

ETH-MOCA Pair:

USDC-MOCA Pair:

As soon as you are in the liquidity pool, you can stake your LP tokens into the ADVANCED MOCA Staking Farms and get even more rewards! You can find them here: https://app.museumofcryptoart.com/moca
